Ah yes. More of this overrated "understanding the rivalry" talk. Is this the same 'understanding' that has netted us exactly 1 win in 7 years? You mean that one? There's getting it (which LC did) and then there's getting it done. I choose the latter, thank you very much.

Yeah, and I was stationed in West Germany and the American Embassy in Prague for two years, and the history of western civilization has changed dramaticly since I was first assigned there.

hahah yea there is no way to prevent a broken thumb. If Pat White were to be in that game the entire time, we probably wouldn't have Rodriguez and WVU just might be our national championship winners. Then we would most likely have Greg Schiano as head coach. That broken thumb changed the course of multiple programs, would you look at that.

Actually, it goes even deeper than that. That broken thumb cost West Virginia a shot at a national championship, and cleared the road for LSU to win theirs. Les Miles, who would have likely been Michigan's coach, ended up committing to LSU because they were playing for a national championship. Rodriguez would have never received an offer from Michigan if Miles had wanted the job. So there you go-- three high-profile programs (Michigan, LSU, and West Virginia) changed dramatically by that broken thumb. Pretty incredible, actually.

And what's with the negativity, BigHouseFootball?

Also if we would have gotten Les Miles as coach Bo Pelini would probably ended up being the coach of LSU instead of Nebraska. Nebraska would have probably taken Turner Gill since Pelini would have been unavailable, thus affecting 2 more schools.

Take a big sigh of relief if you were one of those who thought RRod would not respect the Ohio State rivalry like we want him to. I got this off of scout.com insider from his presser yesterday:

Question: How much work have you done to get ready for Utah? Is that something you are working yet?

Rich Rodriguez: “You know in the summer, obviously we work, do a little bit on all the Big Ten, a little bit more on our rivalry games; we got three big rivalries including the Ohio State one. So we always do a little extra work for Ohio State in the summer and then a little more work probably with Utah because of the opener; you are always going to do that. We will probably get into Utah game plan practices after two and a half weeks of camp, so about two weeks from now.”
