Is it just me, or does Jimmy Clausen look like a combination between a girl, and an elf? Seriously. He might be the most obnoxious looking person of all time.

I actually think Notre Dame does a much better job in punishing players and ND students in general for illegal activities than Michigan. So I have trouble saying much here, except that I am interested to see if this tradition continues.

Nope. I know of several players who have gotten caught drinking and nothing was ever done. Some of them were while Lou was there.

I'd love to hear their stories. Is it anything like a kid in Grand Rapids driving with a .28 BAC or whatever it was and playing in the third game of the season? Because it looks like that is what Michigan is about to put up with this year.

I'm sorry but that statement is ridiculous. Yes, Notre Dame players have gotten away with just as much or more than every other school. Just because you don't live in town and hear about it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Sometimes nothing happens and sometimes they overreact, but athletes generally get away with a lot here. I could tell you stories, but there are no press clippings to go with them so why would you believe me? Grady hasn't played anything yet so we don't know for sure if and when he will play. Quit looking for anything to harp on RR about.

Once again, this underage drinking stuff is just ridiculously stupid that I pay no attention to it. Let's see what I can do when I turn 18...
-Have 1/3 of my income taken out of my paycheck
-Go 8,000 miles from home to fight in a war
-Vote for the most powerful man in the world
-Go to K-mart and buy a gun
-Buy my own property without the necessity of a co-signer
-Buy cancer sticks

Oh, but I can't have a beer. It's one of the absolute dumbest laws in this country. You wonder why so many kids get hospitalized at colleges across the country? It's because they are too scared to drink in high school and have no idea what their "limit" is when they go to a far more "festive" atmosphere. There aren't nearly as many alcohol-related hospitalizations or fatalities over in Europe compared to here in America.

In case they haven't noticed, the law isn't going to stop 70% of kids 18-21 from drinking. Besides, even when kids get arrested for "underage consumption," I would say 80% of the time, it is reduced to a disorderly conduct. My dad, an attorney, has defended a bunch of kids from my high school class, including me, for getting caught underage drinking. Not one of us has it on our record (For the record, I blew a whopping .09 at my senior sleepout, what a crime. God forbid I have 7-8 beers and sleep out in the middle of the field while I'm with the majority of my HS class for the last time).

It's just a huge pain in the arse and it's the government's classic way of not addressing the real problem at hand. Believe it or not, most governments banned Birth Control in the early 20th century. Teen pregnancies were through the roof. However, after years of debate, the government finally decided to allow birth control and EDUCATE the youth about sex. Thus, it is safe to say, teen pregnancies are way down and people are having children at a much more responsible age.

For 4 years of middle school, a police officer would come in one day a week to discuss smoking/illegal drugs. And, for a quarter or so in 7th and 8th grade, we had a class pretty much geared towards teaching us about sex. It should be no different concerning alcohol. Teach kids when they their minds are like sponges (12-14) about the risks of alcohol and you would see a significant decline in the injuries/deaths from alcohol.

Ahh alas, nothing will happen. Thee is no proof he consumed any alcohol.
He can always claim he still brain numb from last season, and that he only ordered an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade, half iced tea).

Don't really see too much coming out of this.
Didn't see Jimmy doing any drinking in those fotos. And even if he was, so what? Like Scottsdale said above me here, let him have some fun while he's not getting his ass kicked.

So when Weis is reading the team rules on the first day of Spring he says " Underage drinking will not be tolerated, but for you over the age of 21, when we actually win one, and you feel the need to celebrate, you are permitted to go out there and get as smashed as you want to be, but if you so much as look at a beer pong table, pick up a playing card, or challenge someone to a chugging contest, there will be POTENTIAL disciplinary action, but probably none taken."
