﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><rss version="2.0"><channel><title>Hanging a Plasma TV over Fireplace</title><link>http://umgoblue.com/aspplay/</link><description /><copyright>(c) UMGoBlue.COM- By Fans...For Fans</copyright><ttl>30</ttl><item><title> RE: Hanging a Plasma TV over Fireplace (BlueSteel)</title><description>  This might be helpful to you: &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;  &lt;a href="http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/plasmatvreviews/plasmatv-fireplace.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/plasmatvreviews/plasmatv-fireplace.html&lt;/a&gt; &lt;br&gt;  &amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;   </description><link>http://umgoblue.com/aspplay/fb.ashx?m=60965</link><pubDate>Tue, 15 Jul 2008 10:35:40 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title> Hanging a Plasma TV over Fireplace (wolverines1again)</title><description>  Ladies and Gentlemen, &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;  I am moving to an apartment in downtown Boston resulting in an enormous sacrifice in floorspace.&amp;nbsp; As such, I want to hang my 50" plasma over the working fireplace in this new apartment.&amp;nbsp; I have no need to hide wires (I'll buy a little sleeve or something to make it look presentable), but I need some help on this. &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;  1)&amp;nbsp; How do I tell if there is brick or studs behind where I want to hang it?&amp;nbsp; There is drywall there now, but I'm assuming that the drywall is either studded out against brick, or right up against the brick.&amp;nbsp; Is it as easy as takning a studfinder and running it across the wall?&amp;nbsp; If it stays "lit" then there is solid brick behind?&amp;nbsp; If it doesn't, then there are studs? &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;  2)&amp;nbsp; I'm not too worried about the heat factor - I don't plan on using the fireplace all that much - but is there some other problem about fireplaces that I need to be concerned with? &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;  3)&amp;nbsp; If it's brick, it's just as simple as getting brick anchors and going at it right?&amp;nbsp; Am I missing something?&amp;nbsp; If it's studs, then install as if it were any other wall, correct? &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;  4)&amp;nbsp; Is there any trick to hanging a TV that I should be aware of?&amp;nbsp; I've heard the only thing is that component wires are impossible to get to once the TV is on the wall, so be sure that it's wired when you hang it.&amp;nbsp; Any other tips? &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;  Thanks! &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;   </description><link>http://umgoblue.com/aspplay/fb.ashx?m=60959</link><pubDate>Tue, 15 Jul 2008 09:21:36 GMT</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
