Yeah. I think the best option would be to go Threet/Feagin(Unless someone proves outright they deserve the job). Like LSU's system last season or Florida's in the past. If the D sees Feagin in the game, and they automatically assume QB option or sweep. Then we hit them with a fake handoff and a deep ball.

I'm not worried about Feagin's running ability, I just think he's gonna have a tough time adapting as a passer in college.

Just had the opportunity to watch Justin in the Class 1A Florida High School Title game, it replayed on Sun Sports down here in Florida. I have to say the kid put on a show. He rushed for 206 yards on just 28 carries for 3 Td's. He also passed for 70 yards and made 8 tackles on defense as a safety. He single handedly carried his team to the title. He is lightning quick and has outstanding vision on the field for a QB. If he had the chance to make a cut he was gone. As far as passing, he wasn't a great passer but was not bad either. He definately needs some work but the tools are all there. He has great arm strength and was impressively accurate when throwing the long ball. I know there is a knock that he didn't play great competition all year but I really think this kid is going to be a great one. I would agree with rivals giving him a 3 star, but a very high 3 star on the boarder of a 4 star. I'm very excited about his future in blue and think he will be starting just a few games into the season. I think he will also give Beaver and Newsome/Forcier a big run for the starting position in '09. Very happy he is a Wolverine!

Sounds promising. Excited to see what he will bring.

Shaw redshirt? Aren't we really short on slot WR/RB type players? If there is a logjam at RB, then try him out at slot.

I can't get it to copy so I'll summarize for you.

1) Feagin- Not yet taken a snap but overall ability is good as advertised. His arm strength is good enough and has a quick release. All QBs are working on footwork drills.

2) McGuffie- At this point Minor seems to be the clear #1 RB but RR & staff are looking for the "gamebreaker" and that could be McGuffie or S. Brown. McGuffie is being called the ultimate workout warrior/athlete. Barwis will help Sam (who is injury prone from last years season) tremendously in prevention of injuries with his workouts.

3) Shaw- Probably redshirt. Too much competition at the position and supposedly the Trotwood kids will have the toughest time adjusting to the workouts.

4) O'neill- Long term, may be the best NFL prospect of the class. Will be competing with Dorrenstein for the #1 sub spot for this year.

5) Barnum- Very obvious that he's the most athletic and probably the most suited for inside OL in this system.

6) Roundtree- Too small (thin) and should redshirt. Has good hands and appears fearless going over the middle. Will be a good possession reciever.

7) Khoury- Has a very bright future at Michigan, similar to Mooseman. He can play any position at OL and is surprisingly athletic. Good attitude and work ethic all the time. Projected to take snaps at OC in practices.

8) Cox- One Big Kid! Looks like a Minor clone and is more suited for pro-style running but will be a contributor. Says previous injuries affected his seed but is in good shape and is fitting in nicely. Needs to redshirt though.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell. I felt fairly satisfied with the update but not overly extatic. More to come though...
