Um, gotta say that the USC team that put the 55-19 BEAT DOWN on Oklahoma that year would've taken all comers...

The division between the Rich Rod supporters and the Rich Rod bashers/Carr supporters is amazing and has turned this place upside down.

Now hold on there. Utah played some powerhouses that year like Wyoming, Arizona, Utah St., Air Force, New Mexico, UNLV, San Diego St, and Colorado St. I can see why we're mentioning them in the same sentence as Auburn and USC. A better question would've been who really won it in 2003. In 04 USC was without a doubt the best team in the country. It's still a shame though that Auburn could go 13-0, win the SEC, win the Sugar Bowl, and never have a realistic shot at the title. I can't imagine something like that happening to Michigan. I think I'd die.
