Looks like Rivals has Tate making a visit on Aug. 30th for Utah game, or on Oct. 24th for M.S. game. They don't know which will be an official visit though.

Tate Forcier is full of himself and personally I don't want him anywhere near U of M. He could have picked Michigan long ago, he shuffled his feet and Beaver commited, you snoose you lose.

So, your saying that he hasn't committed to michigan yet because he's full of himself? God forbid a guy waits until he even starts playing his senior year before deciding who he's going to play for. Give him another 9 months before you dub him the next TP

Bingo, him being full of himself has nothing to do with Michigan, thats just the way he is(correction, the way all of the Forciers appear to be) His website is an example, the fact that he showed up at Michigan's camp unannounced and uninvited in an attempt to try to show RR and Co what they missed out on, and he is currently trying to sabotage Kevin Newsome's commitment(named us in his top 5, and flat out lied about his "official visit date" with Michigan even though Michigan is no longer actively recruiting him)

He does have good mechanics and a high completion rate, but he doesn't have a big arm, he throws a lot of short passes. Threet has a bigger arm. I'm hearing that Feagin is looking good so far, even Trent was impressed by his speed, and work ethic. I did my homework on all these QBs long ago and someone asked who i thought RR likes, and i said Kevin along with another QB/ATH from the south, as we had a lot of options for a QB/ATH. Kevin is a beast! he will be a great one, and Beaver is as good or better then we could expect as another option. I'm just happy with who we have now, and would like to see 1 or 2 more come in the next year also.. We just don't need 3 QBs in 1 class, RR may even take another ATH, who has played QB in high school, (we have a few of those now) but another pure QB would mess us up for the future. And like a few others have said, I'm not sure i like where Tates head is. .

He's either coming one day or the other. Tell Rich Rodrigeuz I said whats up for me, will ya? Oh, you don't actually know RR? Then how do you know he is not recruiting Tate any longer?

TK23Blue ScottsdaleBlue Tate, please go somewhere else!! Exactly. Just go away already, I'm sick of listening to you. What's all of the negativity towards Tate all about? He hasn't made much of a splash with his recruiting news, he isn't making this into a show like Terrell Pryor did. He has a million offers on the table and he already has his list narrowed down to six before his senior season, and a lot of this stuff comes from myspace, which is just him speaking to specific people, not the public. If he wants to go to Michigan so be it, I think he could give Newsome a run for his money because potential doesn't ever guarantee success.

If he commits, the only run he's going to give Newsome is a run to another school. That can be interpreted as Newsome shying away from competition, or Newsome believing that Michigan was only taking 2 QBs and felt like he was lied to.

PLEASE....Newsome will mop the floor with Tate. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Jason Forcier was a terrible QB and had no business going to Michigan in the first place. His younger brother hopefiully willlearn and not attend Michigan. Tate will not sniff the field.

Tate is much more advanced in passing right now than Newsome, throwing at a 70% clip against some of the best competition in the country. He doesn't have as strong of an arm as Newsome, but he is much more consistent at completing passes. Newsome, on the other hand, is raw quarterback potential. If Tate and Newsome were to line up on the field right now, Tate would be a better passer by far. Now, that being said, Newsome does have potential, but the last time I checked potential doesn't guarantee results. Just because he is switching to a military school doesn't mean he is going to become an efficient passer over the course of one year. If Newsome is truly committed to Michigan he will accept Tate as competition like Beaver and outwork him, leaving us with the QB we need to get back to the top. *Cough, I meant to say 77% clip, along with the ranking as high school's most accurate passer (according to Rivals), mop that up*

If he wants to go to Michigan so be it, I think he could give Newsome a run for his money because potential doesn't ever guarantee success. Thats all I was trying to get at. I don't particularly like him but I don't understand how everyone gets off on talking sh!t about him when no matter how cocky he is, he's a 17-18 y/o football player. I'm not sure how your HS football programs were at whatever HS's most of you attended, but in the last 3 years there have been 4-5 people get full rides to major programs, including 1 to OSU, 1 to MSU, and a rising senior just recently got a full ride to cincy. They were all basically the most dominate players on our team for their respective years, and they knew it. Football is to macho of a sport to have people who are tentative about their abilities do well. To be good, you have to have some level of cockiness. I guarentee even mister level head kevin newsome talks some level of trash on the field. Now with that said, im mainly playing devils advocate here and I feel we would be better off without him because of the fact i've always had a preference for Newsome and Beaver, and think with them we will do magnificently in the coming future.

Yeah, using the older brother to predict a high school senior's success might not be the best way to evaluate talent! Forcier, who I have not seen play, comes off like Jimmy Clausen to me. Aren't they both the 3rd boy in their family to play D1 qb? And neither seem to be lacking in the confidence department.

A former coach at Michigan, whom I know personally, said that Forcier was not a good QB....Either one of them. I saw Jason play. I was not impressed. I've seen Tate play. I'm not impressed. And neither are the people at Michigan I talk too. I don't care how many passes he completed in HS. I completed over 75% of my passes in HS. Bobby Hoying completed 60% of his passes. He got the scholly to Ohio St. and I didn't. Completion % doesn't mean ****. OC Michigan Fan is right. Ever seen the movie Multiplicity with Michael Keaton. The more clones he makes of himself, the more off-center and different they become. Tate Forcier is a good QB, but he has no business playing at Michigan. Go Blue!!

Scripps Ranch finished 6-5 last year in San Diego's D 2. I don't know about his teammates, but that's not saying much. The San Diego area is not the USC recruiting hot bead that LA and Orange County are. And when Scripp's did play a legit team, they got smoked, which I kinda have to believe his stats were racked up against the crappy teams. For example, Scripps got rolled by Corona Centennial 55-16. A few weeks later Matt Barkley at Mater Dei threw for over 400 yards on Centennial en route to a 57-31 win. Let's not forget that Andre Ware won a Heisman for his numbers!

So I guess you know much more about Tate's abilities than Michigan's football staff, huh? I don't care what you think about completion percentage, 77% against the likes of top California competition is incredible. They continue to recruit Tate, this is clear. You also need to re-evaluate your ability to break down a player's tape if you think what Tate does is unimpressive. Multiple times he is all but done and finds a way to make a huge play out of nothing. He throws very accurately on the run, and he hits so many receivers in the hands down field it's sick. The kid can play, and I think he has a much brighter future than his brothers had. If Tate Forcier comes to Michigan and ruins Big Ten defenses I will not be surprised one bit, but I would say the same about Newsome. Both are great prospects. *Tate also holds many more major offers than his brother Jason ever did, which is a good indicator. The only other quarterback in the country with more offers is Aaron Murray with 52, Tate only has a measly 34. Stop with the hate people.

I think we have a good crop of QB's between the current class and the next. Competition is a very good thing but too many competitors may not be: Threet and Feagin will have one year under there belts and Newsome and Beaver will make 4 QB's. Tate would be 5. When does the number get to high to be precise with the quality of each individual? And how would this impact reps? Those are my concerns. I think Tate will be a good QB but I'm willing to stand pat with what we have and produce a good signal caller (or two) from this bunch.
