Thanks um1504, recruiting has sort of dried up as of late and it's good to see some light at the end of some tunnels. Or, well, maybe just some tunnels ;)

Keep in mind this is the dead time for contacting recruits.  Recruits can call the coaches but the coaches cannot call them.  Makes for the slow time.

Actually, that's not true. The months of June and July are a "quiet period." Recruits can still make visits to campuses.

Its 'quiet' or 'dead' periods from the coaches standpoint.  The coaches can't make any contact with these kids but from what I gather, the kids can make all the contact they want.

No set date, but he said he wants to visit before school starts.

He's a pipe dream, anyway.

Yeah.  IMO if RR could somehow pull Randle out of LSU's frontyard it would be a monumental recruiting upset.  I don't see it happening but like its been said, as long as he comes up to AA and visits then UM has a chance.

Definitely a chance if he visits. But snatching Randle away from LSU would be on par (and perhaps bigger than) with stealing Warren from under Pete Carroll's nose.

We DO owe Les Miles some payback for Jai Eugene and Joe Barksdale (although one could argue we already got payback for that...)

Maybe someone has some info on why Carroll doesn't have a blanket over LB Poly. MeSean Jackson went to Cal, we grabbed Warren and now Vaughn Telemaque is in Miami.

LB Poly always has a ton of talent. It may not make sense for some of these guys to go to USC and sit the bench when they're getting offers from great national programs and have a chance to play right away. Also they don't always want to do what everybody expects them to do. (DeSean Jackson: "I just wanted to do something different.")
That being said USC has still done very well with Poly. Consider that they had Jurrell Casey, Darell Riddeaux,  Hershell Dennis, Winston Justice, Darnell Bing, Manuel Wright, etc. (I hate the Trojans as much as or more than I hate the Buckeyes!)

Jackson wanted the #1 and to be the man at USC; the Trojans already had Patrick Turner in the fold and he was getting the #1.

This should be the formula everyone uses for chosing a school!

Martin just committed to ND so he'll probably be out.

As I detailed in the blog (shameless plug), Martin now makes it 9-1 in favor of ND in regards to OL recruits over the past 3 years that we've gone head to head against for. Yuck.
