The sidelines in Tempe this year will be a bit less beauteous, from what we're understanding here in sand land. Apparently, ASU Athletic Director, Lisa Love has gotten fed-up with the antics of the ASU cheerleaders in recent years, and is trying to cooperate with an institutional initiative to shed the university's "party school" reputation. A recent pom-pom-shaker got into "the business," and actually shot some adult video scenes in her cheerleading uniform. I don't know whether or not ASU will go after those who exploit the imagery for profit on copyright-infringement grounds or not, but if this were the only scandal, I would not be too concerned. I seem to recall an LSU cheerleader in her gear in a Playboy "Girls of the SEC" issue back in the 90's. One bad apple does not spoil the whole bunch. One must also remember that Phoenix is one of 3 cities in porn's "golden triangle;" the other 2 being Las Vegas and L.A. Most of "the industry" is based in one of these three areas, and it stands to reason that a few scrumptious-looking coeds with few inhibitions might get caught up in it.
The real reason that the ASU cheerleading squad is apparently no more might be the photo linked below, in which 6 squad-members were on some cheer team activity/outing, and decided to pose in their underwear. Never mind that one of the gals pictured says that the image is at least 2 years old, and that the gals in it are not part of the current squad. Lisa Love has had enough, and we'll all be waiting to see where the story goes from here.

Any pervs are thus directed as to where to Google, as I am now done with that story.
Original story:
http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=6445259&version=3&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=3.2.1 Things are still breaking here. The latest word is that the cheerleading squad is NOT going away, but some of the more dangerous stunts will be. The squad will not be overseen by the university's marketing department, but rather the director of the marching band, to better coordinate the in-stadium experience. Hmmmmm, now that's something that I have wanted UM to do for a while, and there were signs of that happening last season. Keep checking around for the latest, but the story looks like it is beginning to run out of legs.
