like 9 Shotgun Formations. Wow we finally have some shotgun formations! I've been waiting for that to happen for a while. Everytime I played with Michigan last year I would always have to switch playbooks because we didnt have the shotgun.

I found out Carson Butler is an 82 overall with 85 speed. EA royally screwed up our roster this year. If you're going to make him an 82, he has at least 89 speed. Fastest Tight End was Ingram from Florida a 90 and then it was Beckum from Wisconsin with an 89.

I am an elite recruiter in these games, and I want to see how the recruiting has changed. Usually I filled my 25 spots up with 12-15 5 stars and the rest 4 stars. The only time I got a 3 star or lower was a kicker or punter.

Yeah recruiting is always fun! I like to create prospects like this year I'll probably create Newsome, Beaver. and Campbell. I'm just mad because I'm going on vacation this whole upcoming week and I'm not gonna get to play the game until I get back next saturday, but myrtle beach is always sweet so I'll pry forget about it!

I was going to suggest throwing together one of those online dynasties with no one but UMGoBlue.com posters. However, there might be a small issue of everyone insisting on playing as the mazie and blue.

Greg Matthews, Terrance Taylor, and Brandon Harrison are our impact players.

That's sad, why would Brandon Harrison be an impact player and not a more proven player? EA Sports has a tendancy to make stupid roster mistakes, they need to take more time on them and make them more accurate. I'm hoping the Meijer across from my house will have the game in-stock at midnight tonight...

Got a copy at Meijer tonight... Here's what I've noticed, even though I haven't played an entire game yet - The game doesn't look as great as last year from the normal angle, but it runs somewhat smoother. My TV settings are a little off, but you have to do a replay and zoom in to make it look like a next-gen game.
- When you throw the ball receivers get decked a lot more. If it gets tipped heads go flying. If a receiver is struggling to make the catch, look out. The ball gets slapped up sometimes, not like the old games where if it did you were like, "Woah! Did that just happen or am I losing it?". This makes defending the pass a little less painful and more entertaining.
- Juking is pretty cool. In old games you could just spin on a dime, and in NCAA '08 it looked like an old man's attempt. The '09 version is between the two. Spins look realistic and are effective if you time them right, but it's a lot harder to just go flying right around somebody. Sidestepping jukes are a lot more effective than in '08, which makes me a lot happier because they absolutely sucked last year (you would press it and then proceed to juke ten minutes later, no more of that).
- The defense isn't retarded when it comes to options anymore. If you pitch the ball and the defender isn't close enough he'll angle back towards the pitch man. This means you have to time it better or the defense usually stops you for a small gain or a loss. THE BIGGEST difference so far is pitching it on the option. You can't wing it from an inch off the ground anymore, it is extremely realistic. If a tackler has your pitching arm, you won't ever get it off. If he does and you somehow do it is always bad. This is greeeaaatt to see because people online always used the option and as you celebrated killing the QB he would magically pitch it off through the defender, un-touched into the endzone. No more newbie pitching.
- There are two new mini-games, HORSE and Special Teams Challenge. HORSE is alright, you can spot the ball in any ridiculous fashion (even ten yards outside the hash), and change the wind up to 25 mph. If you hit the attempt and the other guy misses, he gets a letter. Pretty simple. Special teams challenge starts with a kickoff, then you punt back and forth until one gets back or somebody gets close enough to kick a game-winning field goal (if you miss on Heisman you lose). ANY score ends the game.
- Last but not least, dynasty has a recruiting gizmo that tells the computer what type of athletes to recruit and how important each position is. So, in Michigan's modern case, you can tell the CPU that WRs should all be the "speed" type, and that their importance is high. Pretty awesome.
I suck at the game right now, but I'm sure with some practice and online games I'll be back into the normal 10 game win-streak type thing. So far, I am mildly impressed, only because it looks foreign and I'm not that good. In a month I will love the game to death.

This game is really fun playing as Michigan this year as its a challenge vs the CPU. QB play just sucks in general, but the running game is ridiculous with UM. I put Grady at FB, Brown as the starter, and McGuffie as the backup. McGuffie is the real deal in this game even though he is a 77 overall. If you guys want the names of the rosters. Put in EAROSTERS COM as the gamertag......unless its for ps3. He'll have them done shortly. Make sure you leave a space between Rosters and Com. After you get them, back out and then load the rosters.

I got the rosters. Thanks. Why do our players on the sideline have white shoes on??????? Also did you notice that you have the option on your players to wear high socks? You have to do every player individually but it is still cool.

Man, just played against ND and won 51-20 and McGuffie had the game of his life. 1 reception, 17 yards, 1 TD 13 carries, 112 yards, 1 TD 64 yard kick return (dragged down at the 23 30 yard kick return 45 yard punt return (dragged down at opponents 30) and another like 30 yard punt return Guy is a monster. Brown had like 89 yards on 22 carries and 2 TD's.

( I thought I would let the freshmen have some fun) McGuffie won the Ret. of the year award and an All American. I only played the major games. And like I said about the recruiting...I AM A BEAST. 14 ***** 5**** #1 ranked T, FS, MLB, RB, WR, DE, G #2 ranked G, T, FS, RB, WR, OLB, #3 ranked QB (Scrambler) And the other 5 were top ten **** at their positions. I thought recruiting was very easy if you put the time into it.

Has anbody noticed on replays that when you throw a pass the ball does not spiral? The ball just stays still while it goes through the air. Stuff like that bothers me like the players on the sidelines having white shoes on. It's stupid!

GoBlueChevy Ok I haven't owned NCAA Football since Larry Fitzgerald was on the cover, which I think was 2005, but I've gone too long without playing it. I do not own a video game console at the moment and I can't decide which one to purchase. I'm leaning towards an Xbox, mainly because I enjoy their online capabilities. The 3 or 4 times I've Halo have been really fun too. The only advantages I see to a PS3 at this point are the Bluray player since they seem to have won the format war, I'm more used to the PS controller because I owned a PS2 at one point, and I actually get into the Final Fantasy games quite a bit. I'm not real sure why because I don't like anything else similar to or associated with those games. No matter which system I get, I will play the NCAA series 80% of the time anyway. Based on the above, which console do you suggest I take the hardest look at? Getting both is not an option as I will also be purchasing an HDTV "accessory". First off, let me tell you that I own an Xbox 360, so take my advice as you wish. - I have had the "3 rings of death" happen to my Xbox 360 before, and Microsoft is only a pain if you have opened the thing up (like taken the casing off so you can see the actual hardware), which nobody really ever does, and they have fixed most of the bugs by now. If it does happen everyone is covered for 3 years, you don't have to pay a penny, not even for shipping if something does happen.
- Xbox Live is much better than the PS3 online network. Although you have to pay for it there are many more people to interact with through voice, and when you buy the xbox you get a headset, so talking trash makes it that much more awesome.
- Gears of War and the Halo series should be enough of a case alone for the Xbox 360. GOW 2 is coming out late this year I believe, and if you like shooters you will be drooling.
- Final Fantasy XIII is going on Xbox 360, and so is the new Resident Evil game, so you can make the case that Playstation is losing the battle of games that sell for one console. Gears of War and Halo are probably the two best single-console games anyway.
- Xbox stuff is generally cheaper.
That's my two cents.

Oh yea... Once again, my dynasty is way short of people, need more people who play often (like daily) and can compete at the game. Gamertag (on Xbox) is "Maize N Blue 45", send me a friend request and let me know what team you want. A B10 or ACC team would be wisest if you want to play against other people and not just the computer all the time.

Thanks for the input! With the Xbox 360 price drop coupled with Final Fantasy XIII being released on it, I am 99% I will be purchasing that within the next month or so.

Sorry, I am a loyal PC gamer here. I know that the FPS are muchbetter, plus they have programs avalible for YEARS such as Ventrillo, and Team Speak. I can talk with my buddies online in game, or off fromaround the world for free. Plus the industry (EA and DICE inparticular) have openly said that they have "dumb downed" FPS such asthe Battle Field Series for Console Players, leaving a LOT less detailas far as player capability and such. I will stick with my PC, and ifI EVER get a console, it will be for the sole purpose of NCAAfootball. I think the Madden Series is HORRIBLE especially whencompared to the "bought out" 2K (ESPN) Football. I believe '06 is thefurthest they went until EA bought them out. A MUCH better product. Thats my two cents!

How did you do so well at recruiting??? I have been trying and so far the best I have gotten is 1 5 star and 2 4 star and alot of kids going other places in the end.... Any tips would be appreciated... Just try to find the pitches that the prospects like. Most and very high are the ones you want. Once you find which pitches they like make calls to them every week and use these pitches. Also make sure the prospects that you really want the most are ranked the highest on your recruiting board. Try to target 5 star kids in Michigan and the other pipeline states because these are the guys that will be most likely to commit. If you take the time between games to make calls and do the things above you will do a lot better!!

Anyone else found the return game to be rediculously easy? I've returned more kicks in '09 than I have in all the other versions combined. Maybe is just McGuffie........

Now I know why your not getting recruits. When the lock symbol appears that means you've unlocked the pitch. You can still use that pitch over and over again when you call recruits. Thats all ur doing wrong man. Once you unlock the very high and most pitches keep using them over again every week in your calls and I GAURANTEE you start to land the recruits you want!

just signed a 4 star WR that is 6'7 and has 99 speed and 98 acceleration. The Fly Route is wonderful. He's in the top 5 for the heisman after 2 games as he has over 300 yards receiving, 3 TD's, and 300 PR yards, and 3 TD's there. Carlos Brown is #1 on the heisman because of the previous year as he had 1500 yards rushing, 22 TD's, then about 450 yards receiving and 4 TD's along with 1 PR TD. So far this season, he has about 300 yards rushing and 7 TD's.
