Oh god... Sparty made the cover for the Nintendo Wii edition. McFadden made the Xbox 360 cover as each system will have a different cover. http://www.easports.com/ncaa09/

Hey - nice of Wii to throw Sparty a bone. I think they figured that the insane player movements resulting from an equally impossible control system on the Wii mirrored what the Spartans do every saturday in real life...

I'm just glad I don't have to buy the wii version to play the game. Hopefully they have a player I like on the PS2 version. I remember how mad my Buckeye and Spartan friends were when Desmond was on the cover. (IIRC) When we played Sparty that season there was a story pregame about how Drew Stanton even ripped up the cover because he hated it so much.

Like I do every year, I've already created a UM NCAA 09 cover. I done it in a hurry and still need to go over it and smooth some things out. Here it is so far:

ORIGINAL: MaizeRageWolverine Like I do every year, I've already created a UM NCAA 09 cover. I done it in a hurry and still need to go over it and smooth some things out. Here it is so far: MaizeRage, that looks SWEET!!!!! Can you make me a PS3 one? NCAA Football 09 Interview: This is our year." Those are the words of NCAA Football's product manager Kendall Boyd as he sits down to talk about the 09 version of his game. We're rolling through the streets of Hollywood as members of Darren McFadden's entourage while Boyd talks about how Madden stepped up in 08 and it's NCAA's turn to finally rise back to prominence when it hits stores July 15. Boyd explains how the team is much farther along in development than they were last year at this time, and when I ask him about the PS3 version's inferior frame rate, he has the words that Sony gamers have been dying to hear. "The PS3 version will run at 60 frames per second." "You sure about that?" I ask. "I guarantee it." http://www.gametap.com/home/read/article/4584

It used to be the [img] tags, but I guess on the new site, you just click the little pic all the way on the right of the tool bar ( ) and a dialogue box comes up asking for the URL of the pic. Just paste the URL in that field and click 'OK'.

Maybe we should wear our whites at home one time a la LSU. That looks sweet.

Ok I haven't owned NCAA Football since Larry Fitzgerald was on the cover, which I think was 2005, but I've gone too long without playing it. I do not own a video game console at the moment and I can't decide which one to purchase. I'm leaning towards an Xbox, mainly because I enjoy their online capabilities. The 3 or 4 times I've Halo have been really fun too. The only advantages I see to a PS3 at this point are the Bluray player since they seem to have won the format war, I'm more used to the PS controller because I owned a PS2 at one point, and I actually get into the Final Fantasy games quite a bit. I'm not real sure why because I don't like anything else similar to or associated with those games. No matter which system I get, I will play the NCAA series 80% of the time anyway. Based on the above, which console do you suggest I take the hardest look at? Getting both is not an option as I will also be purchasing an HDTV "accessory".

If you want to play Final Fantasy 12 or Final Fantasy 12 versus buy a PS3 because they will not come out on 360 some may rumor that it will but I garauntee they never will. If you like the PS2 controller buy a PS3. Also when considering buying an XBOX360 take into consideration the insanely high failure rate for the system and also it costs 49.99 a year to play online. Later this year "Home" will come out for PS3 which will be similar to what the 360 has but will expand on it. I own both a 360 and PS3 and while the 360 has a larger game library right now PS3 is catching up. Also I prefer the PS3 so I suggest that one. If you get the 40 gig you pay 399 if you get the premium 360 + 1 year live card you pay 399 so cost is same now in reality. +as you said you get Blu-Ray with ps3. Also back to failure rates on 360's mine personally has never broken and they do offer a three year warranty for the red ring of death I worked in a video game shop for about 2 years recently and the amount of people with 360's breaking is astounding. I left that job this past friday so as of friday I would say I get an average of 7-10 people a week calling about broken 360's.... but if you choose the 360 don't worry cuz like I said they will fix it for free for up to 3 years so long as you get the most common problem which is the 3 rings of death...1-800-4MY-XBOX.... Hope this was helpful to you!! I will reiterate though I highly recommend PS3 over 360.
