That is awesome news! The Chicago area has been quite kind to the team in recent years (Queen & Hicks). Do you have any other players on your team that are looking at UM?

Arnold does play for Chicago Hoops Express. At this time Borseth is not recruiting any other members of Chicago Hoops Express. Arnold has the potential to be an all-conference type of Big 10 player.

Anyway, here are her stats to date as of Friday's Daily Herald - 22.1 ppg (leader in DuPage County), 9 rpg, 86 % Free Throw (leader in DuPage County), 1.5 3-pointers per game and 5 blocked shots per game to date. As far as awards and stuff goes. . .

All conference Sophomore, and Hon Men Freshman - Upstate Eight Conference.
Daily Herald All Area - Sophomore
IHSA - 4th Team All State - Sophomore
3rd place IHSA 3 point contest - Sophomore
Daily Herald Player of the Week - Sophomore & Junior
Academic all conference both years. 4.0/4.0 GPA
Team MVP - sophomore

Samantha Arnold, Chicago Hoops Express I (Lake Park HS, Ill.), looked like a top 100 player this weekend. The 6-4 forward who has verbally committed to Michigan is not a bruising interior post but her footwork is impeccable and her touch with both hands around the basket makes her a handful. Her mid-range game was equally as impressive.

Samantha Arnold (Medinah, Ill./Lake Park) has played most of her career on the perimeter but at 6-foot-4 she needs to keep advancing her interior game for the next level. She bounced between the guards and posts for drill work to get a taste of everything. She played hard and the area for improvement is simply playing a more physical style when she does get inside. She’s not a weak kid at all and learning to get leverage and play with contact will also help her on the perimeter. Her footwork is sound, she can make plays passing the ball, her face-up game from the mid-post is outstanding but when going one-on-one against players her size she has to get comfortable taking it right at the defense and reading their movement.
