I agree. This is great. He is a very solid defender and fit right into the system. Passed the puck well and complimented Nick 2.0 very well.

Love the signing, Wings have the top 4 d-men system in the NHL. Alos, am I the only one that is loving the fact that the Pens are losing players left and right?

They still have a couple guys to lock up contracts with this year (Fillpula - he'll have some teams after him most of the summer so this one will take a little while to finalize, Cheli - he'll command only $700,000 - $800,000 in a limited roll, Ericsson - who can still play one year for Grand Rapids, maybe McCarty/Downy - two way contracts where he can play for both the Wings and Grand Rapids etc.. ). Zetterberg is now #1 priority after next season with Franzen being a close 2nd. We HAVE to lock both of those guys up. Go Wings!!

I have no hatred for the Pens, I just dont like them when my Wings are playing them. I hate other teams, the Mighty Cracks (Ducks) and Nashville, but have no ill will for the Pens as a whole. While I will never agree with the Pens making some snot nose No Defense punk like Crosby a Captain at such a young age and disgracing the entire Captainship of the game, I dont hate the Pens. Them having the best players? Last time I checked the cup was in the hands of the Detroit Red Wings, along with the Presidents Cup, Lady Byng, Frank Selke, and Norris. If the Pens have the best players in the NHL, I hope everything remains constant, so the Wings may lift the Cup once again next year

I'm not comparing Crosby to Yzerman (I think Crosby is a punk too), I'm just pointing out that they were both the same age when named Captain of their respective teams.

Great signing for the Wings Stuart played very well for them. It will be interesting who they get as a free agent. Would like to see Sundin but doubtful now that the Canucks have offered him so much.

Pens will make it happen as they do have the best players in the NHL....other than they're thin defense, over-rated goalie, and the fact that they have nothing in the way of a 3rd or 4th line. Other than that, the Pens should be set.
