Michigan is down 5-0 in the bottom of the sixth to the USA softball team in exhibition play.  Cat Osterman is on the mound for team USA.  Most teams have been getting crushed by the national team, heh.

5-1 was the final. Cat, who was never able to beat Michigan in her Texas years, got the win. U-M sold out at 2500 (standing room only). 

I tend to prefer to sit in the outfield, instead of my assigned seat, and was in left field right next to the visiting bullpen. Last night was kind of crazy out there! Lisa Fernandez and Jenny Finch warmed up a few feet away, and a few hundred tweenaged girls lined the bullpen fence, snapping pictures with their cell phones and calling everyone they knew. It was a fun atmosphere, but I wish Michigan could have found their bats last night.

The photo gallery doesn't do the event justice. It would have been nice for them to post an overhead shot to show how full the stadium was. Also, after the game they were taking photos of the teams combined in center field. That would have been nice to put on the web.
