Not all that surprised. These are tumultuous times at UM. It seems anyone could come or go at any time. Part of the "growing pains" I guess. Maybe he'll recommit... maybe he won't. I sure hope he does... but I'm not going to hold my breath since almost every major programme in the country will be after him. Programmes, that is, that exhibit a bit more stability than UM right now. Wouldn't be too surprised to see McNeal disappear before this is all over too. Ick.

I heard that he said Michigan still has a really good shot. Looks like he is just checking into other programs, for now.

He's gone, he found a better fit probably. Maybe the vest got to him.

The division between the Rich Rod supporters and the Rich Rod bashers/Carr supporters is amazing and has turned this place upside down.

Well I dont think it can get much worse than this. My gosh what an up and down recruiting season. We lose the qb we wanted but turn around and grab another one, and then we lose our best prospect we have the following week. WOW!!! Our situation on the DL is starting to look really bad for the next few seasons. RR better adress this need quickly before its too late. But on the other hand we just witnessed Darius Winston decommit to Arkansas only to recommit with them a couple months later so I'm not gonna give up hope yet. Hopefully our other Cass Tech recruits will get in his ear a little bit.

Me too, teammate Dior Mathis loves Miami, although the statement about wanting to win a championship...I don't see Miami as a better option than us right now. USC on the other hand, well yeah.

The win today had to help, was he at the game? Hopefully the team really starts to gel and he decides that this will be a good place to be. I had a thought...maybe he didn't want to be Barwisized!

I had a thought...maybe he didn't want to be Barwisized! Yes, he was there today. And it had nothing to do with Barwis. All the major football teams around the country have similar S&C programs. Campbell wouldn't be considering a school like USC if he was afraid of working hard; they beat the hell out of each other at USC practices.

I was really hoping to get this kid at Michigan, man is he gonna be a stud wherever he plays at. This is a bigger loss than Newsome, in my opinion, (before we knew we had Forcier to replace him.)

I still think we have a really good shot at him. Personally I think its more he would rather take a look at other schools with an "open" recruitment then to take visits and such while still committed to michigan. It almost seems more of a formality then anything, although him recommitting is no where near definite.

I would take a 3 star that is solid commit, then a 4 or 5 star premadonna. He's probably scared of Barwis.

He didn't feel comfortable visiting other schools while being committed to Michigan. He wants to look around, and Michigan will be there at the end no matter what, so he was up front and honest with the coaches and opened things up. And once again, the thought that he was scared off by Barwis is completely ridiculous. EVERY major college football program in this country runs a similarly strenuous strength and conditioning program. Campbell isn't going to check out places like USC and LSU and Miami if he was afraid of working his ass off in the weight room.

Yeah but claiming that it has nothing to do with Barwis is a complete antithesis to a lot of UM fans' claims that Barwis is the best thing since sliced bread... Besides, it is better than saying he didn't like the coaching staff.
tOSU was THE leader in graduation rate and a role model for discipline during the Woody Hayes-Earle Bruce era. Cooper destroyed that legacy. RR is UM's version of Cooper. I will enjoy seeing UM fans kicked off your high horse when arrests pile up.
