I could care less about what happens to USC. The article says he has been receiving benefits for the last 4 years, so that puts Mayo in HS and now those HS titles could be in jeopardy. Unfortunately, this becoming more common in HS basketball and AAU. I heard on ESPN Friday, that Kentucky just offered an 8th grader a full ride scholarship for 2013. Crazy.
In order to have a winner, the team must have a feeling of unity; every player must put the team first-ahead of personal glory.

Still you really have to consider that this scholarship can't really mean too much to either patry at this point. I mean, you've still got 4 years before this kid is near college age. A lot can happen in that time. Who even knows if UK or the kid are gonna change their minds about it too? On a side note, this 15 yr old is 6'4 with some of his best growing years ahead of him. It's crazy to think of how good this kid might be when he starts playing college BB in half a decade. Living down here in Wildcat country I'll try and give upates about him when I hear them.

Me too, I think it's right next to the liquor and gun store on campus. Is that the one where the $10 hookers hang out?

Mayo cleared in Ohio: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3396878 So, Ohio allows his school to keep both state titles after Mayo accepts $1,000's of dollars yet they decide to rip my high school of our state championship hockey title because a freshman kid (who couldn't even drive to games) had played in another game for another team because his dad was a jackass. So is Ohio saying that we should have paid this kid $10,000 instead? Sounds fair...

http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-mayo15-2008may15,0,3653762.story This is one of those all time great articles....from the LA times. Deny, deny, deny taking any money and then this....Greatest line of the article: Following the interview, Mayo slipped into a new red Porsche Cayenne GTS with two friends and drove off, saying he was headed to Chicago for workouts in advance of next month's NBA draft.
