Unbelievable! This reminds me of the Big Ten baseball tournament last year - we were ousted by the second game.

ORIGINAL: buckeyehater22 Unbelievable! This reminds me of the Big Ten baseball tournament last year - we were ousted by the second game. Thanks for at least putting this into perspective. I am still worried about our hitting, much like you talked about in the middle part of our season. Then again, put me on the board (thank you) for hating these post season tournaments. How can Michigan run-rule MSU two games yet have it all taken away by a fluke win by an inferior team? I'm not a fan of any confrerence tournament in any sport. What happens in the regular season should stay in the regular season. Now let's hope they can get it in gear starting next Friday.

They have got to get it together. I am just 2.5 hours down the road from OKC and I want to represent. Heck, I don't care what the sport is. I try to show up when I can. I hope to make it down there the week prior for the rowing championship.

I'm not a fan of any confrerence tournament in any sport. What happens in the regular season should stay in the regular season. Now let's hope they can get it in gear starting next Friday. It's embarrassing. No way around it. Am I worried? Yes. How can we only score one run against a team we put a combined 21 runs on the board in the two games we played with them earlier in the season? However, we'll be fine. Just one of those fluke games - like Drake earlier in the season. If anything, this might actually light a spark under our girls' butts. If they would have won the tournament, they would have been flying high. They can do two things with this loss: let it get to you and let your confidence suffer, or look it as no team can be taken for granted. We will still host the Regional and face some teams that are not up to our level (like MSU), so it could be good because we won't overlook them. I still hope we have a high enough seed to host the Super Regional. Is that realistic at this point?

MSU is taking a beating from Iowa in the second round in Evanston. The Hawkeyes hold an 9-2 advantage in the third. Embarrassing. However, many people over at UCS do not believe the loss will put Michigan out of a seeding that would host the Super Regional (#1-#8 nationally).

Agreed, I'm thinking sixth or seventh at this point. Their RPI is good (4th) so maybe that can move them up a spot or keep them in the 5-6 range.
