Good lord, talk about a power bracket: Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas-all of which I consider better helmets than ALL of the Paterno bracket. Still, we should take this.

I agree. I hate the glitter helements, the glitter has no purpose. Especially virginia techs. They have gold glitter. Gold isn't part of their colors. Its retarded. I also agree that it will be a highway robbery if we don't win. Michigan has by far the best helements in the nation.

We should win this easy. We have the best helmets in all of football. I never thought ND's were all that great, Penn States are too plain looking, and I never gave OSU credit for anything in my life.

ORIGINAL: MarylandMaize Here are the brackets: http://sports.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/story?page=helmetsoregontexasam UM has the tougher draw (ND, USC, TX...) How in the hell did NEVADA get in there? Do they even play with helmets in that conference? When you look at it, all the 2nd round matchups are pretty tough. That's what you get when you start with a field of just 16. Also, I was not only wondering why the hell Nevada got in this, but USF as well. You can't tell me that those helmets are better than the likes of UCLA, Udub, Colorado, Nebraska, just to name a few. But I will say that Michigan should win this in a landslide. BTW, A&M has the early lead on Oregon. I'm sure that will change once those left coasters start to vote. I just couldn't bring myself to vote for those atrocities that Oregon calls helmets. Now, if we were voting for those ones with the faux flames, I'd have to think about changing my vote...

Aren't the 3 biggest schools (student population), ASU, Texas and tUoOS? Throw in USC, Free Shoes and ND, and we got a really tough draw. The top 8 are weak!

This should be the biggest slam dunk in college football, and I mean not even close. NOTHING comes close to Michigan. End of story.

I don't now. This could come down to a close battle with Nevada if their fans get behind this! LOL, I almost couldn't right that cause I was laughing. Michigan wins this one going away.

Well, nice to see Oregon get the boot in round one. Rather surprisingly, Clemson is beating PSU quite handily early on. I would have thought that PSU would have been one of the favorites.

I know some hate on Oregon's simply cause they beat us. But compared to A&M's helmet? Come on A&M should not have even been considered, its pathetic.

How in the world A & M's would even be considered I'll never know. A 5 year old with crayons could draw up those helmets!

I don't hate on Oregon's unis because they beat us. I hate on them because they look like they'd be a better fit for Area Football than College football..

Like a 5 year old couldn't come up with that O on Oregon's helmets??? At least A&M's helmets have tradition on their side... More than Oregon can say for their flavor of the month unis...

I never even thought of that, Arena Football. You know ur damn right about that! Oregon with their 1,600 uniforms would fit in quite well, and I'm sure they would roll out 15+ versions of a helmet as well I agree the O is not that special, the helmet color scheme to me looks fabulous. Yes A&M has tradition, some lame ones for sure, but their helmet is about as plain as it gets.
