1989 NCAA National Championship Team
The 1989 Wolverines had a lot going against
them. They had a rookie coach (Steve Fisher, named as interim
head coach before the start of the tournament for the departing Bill
Frieder) and were not expected to do much in the tournament.
After an unlikely run they won the National Championship as Rumeal
Robinson sunk two free throws to beat Seton Hall 80-79 in overtime.
