11/4/04- A Letter from Bill Martin

Last week Bill Martin sent out the following message to season ticket holders:

An Open Letter to Michigan Season Ticket Holders

A recent edition of the Fiske Guide to Colleges offered the following observation regarding the University of Michigan:


"One of the nation's elite public universities, Michigan
offers its students an excellent faculty, dynamite
athletics and an endless number of special programs.
The university ranks among the best in the nation...."

I'm sure you share with me a sense of pride in our university being so recognized.

We understand what it has taken to build the Michigan Tradition that is at the root of such distinction. We also understand that similar dedication is necessary if that Tradition is to continue.

In that regard, I would like to invite you to share something else with me on behalf of Michigan.

Just as our athletic programs are considered "dynamite" programs, I want to insure that you - and the many thousands who join you - find every game day experience to be "dynamite" as well. It is our hope, that every time you attend an athletic event at the University of Michigan, it will be a positive memory maker experience.

To do that, we need to know what it is we might do for you that will help create such an experience. You can share your thoughts and counsel with us simply by sending an e-mail message to guestservices@umich.edu and I strongly urge you to do so.

It is because of people like you Michigan "ranks among the best." .and it is people like you who can insure Michigan continues to be
