UM/Purdue Prediction

Michigan |
Michigan State |
|
Offense |
|
The QB 's are about even. MSU's RB by
committee equals "Michigan" Mike Hart but the big difference is
in the WR's and TE's. Michigan is stacked. Can the
OL can give Henne time to throw the ball? That's the
question...
Advantage- Michigan |
|
Defense |
|
The Spartans have recently taken to flinging the
ball around ala Minnesota and Purdue. That's OK we beat
both of those teams, too. MSU will attack the corners.
Look for Jim Herrman's defensive game plan to attack MSU QB Drew
Stanton before he has time to throw deep.
Advantage- Michigan |
|
Special Teams |
|
All you need to know about the Wolverines special
teams is that last game Head Coach Lloyd Carr said that the
kicking game was coming together. That was after 1 missed
field goal, 1 blocked field goal, and one successful field goal
that flew like a wounded duck. Yeah, things are coming
together alight...
Advantage- MSU |
|
Intangibles |
|
Rivalry game. If the Spartans can a pull an
upset it will salvage their disappointing season. Michigan
has many veterans on this team who know that while they may not
brag about winning this game they sure will regret losing it.
Advantage- Even |
