UM/Purdue Prediction
[Old/Adv/Featured.htm]

Michigan |
Purdue |
|
Offense |
|
I'll take Henne over Orton any day of the week.
Can Henne play on the road? That's the question. I
think Henne will get the job done on the national stage.
Advantage- Even |
|
Defense |
|
Purdue wants to fling the ball around. Go for
it! (Just don't throw at a certain DB who has the initials
of MC.) Seriously though the Boilermakers haven't played a
defense like this. Look for Marlin Jackson to play
lockdown coverage and occasionally put Orton on his back.
If Purdue is foolish enough to throw Marlin's way it won't be
pretty...
Advantage- Michigan |
|
Special Teams |
|
All you need to know about the Wolverines special
teams is that they have trouble kicking PAT's. They have
potentially explosive kick return men but it had better not come
down to a PAT or a field goal.
Advantage- Purdue |
|
Intangibles |
|
Purdue has played two substandard games in a row
and lost last week. Maybe they were looking ahead to the
Wolverines? Purdue was was all hype last season and they
got their tails kicked 31-3. If they could barely handle a
poor Penn State team that have to be seriously worried about the
Wolverines.
Advantage- Michigan |
|
