UM/Purdue Prediction

Michigan |
Ohio State |
|
Offense |
|
Michigan has a multitude of offensive weapons but
the key positions are manned by true freshman. At Notre
Dame QB Chad Henne and RB Mike Hart were overwhelmed. But
that seems like an eternity ago. How much they have grown
will determine the outcome of this game. The key for the
Buckeye is to get the ball downfield to their receivers.
Advantage- Michigan |
|
Defense |
|
The OSU defense has had some rough patches this
season but has improved over the last several games. The
Michigan defense has been solid and occasionally spectacular
this season.
Advantage- Even |
|
Special Teams |
|
OSU's Ted Ginn Jr. versus UM's Steve Breaston
could be the most exciting match up in college football this
season. Either one has the ability to completely change
the momentum of a game with a great kick return. Everyone
knows about Ginn while Breaston has had a disappointing season
due to injuries. But last week Breaston showed that he's
back to full speed.
Advantage- Even |
|
Intangibles |
|
The snake pit in Columbus will be rocking on
Saturday. Ohio State in under siege, reeling from a
disappointing season and allegations of corruption. They
WANT this game, they NEED this game. A win over teh
Wolverines will deaden pain. They are a dangerous opponent
and CANNOT be underestimated. Do Michigan's freshman
sensations know what they're in for?
Advantage- OSU |
|
