[Old/Adv/Featured2.htm]
Michigan Iowa
Offense
Michigan seems to have the advantage but much if their statistics were generated versus substandard competition.  The last two weeks the offense has been inexplicably inconsistent. Something tells me the Wolverines were looking forward to this game ever since last year's 34-9 pasting at the Big House.  I know that I have...

Advantage- Michigan

Defense

The Iowa defense manhandled the Wolverines last year.  Expect the Wolverine defense to come up big...Still too close to call...

Advantage- Even

Special Teams

Steve Breaston has electrified the return game.  Iowa would be stupid to kick him...The Michigan placekicking game is an adventure every time they take the field and the Wolverines can't seem block well when punting the ball...

Advantage- Even

Intangibles

Make no mistake this has been a red letter game for the Wolverine since last season when Iowa spanked them 34-9 at Michigan Stadium.  But...The game is on the road.  The crowd will be a factor and Iowa needs to play well this season to validate when happened last season.  If Iowa gets blown out they know that last season will be viewed as an anomaly rather than a true resurrection of their program.  The Wolverines simply don't have the reputation of a team that can get it done on the road.

Advantage- Iowa

Prediction

Michigan runs the ball and show the nation that they can win close games on the road.

Michigan 27  Iowa 24
