1/21/01- Football Season Ticket Holder Survey Earlier this month, the Athletic Department sent out a survey to football season ticket holders. You can read the survey at the following links: Cover Letter Survey Page 1 2 3 4 The survey included a space to make additional comments. I decided to write a letter to address my concerns about the direction of Michigan Football. I included this letter when I mailed the survey back to the Athletic Department. Here is the text of my letter: January 21, 2001 Bill Martin, Athletic Director, University of Michigan Dear Sir: Thank you for sending me the Michigan Football Game Day Survey in the mail. I feel that it is an important step in the process of improving the service that the Athletic Department provides to season ticket holders. Unfortunately, the survey neglects to ask some important questions. Such as: How would the rate the service provided by Athletic Department Personnel? Would you like to be able to pay for your Season Tickets using a credit card? Do you support the expansion of Michigan Stadium? Do you support the construction of Luxury boxes at Michigan Stadium? Would you support the addition of advertising at Michigan Stadium? Rate on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being least preferred and 5 being most preferred how you would want the Athletic Department to raise additional revenue:
What is your impression of why the Athletic Department is running deficit? How much of a ticket price increase do you think is fair? Would you be willing to make an additional donation in order to have the right to 'will' your tickets to family members? Do you think that it is fair that some companies/individuals control huge blocks of tickets? The survey seems to ignore these important questions regarding the future of Michigan Football. Please feel free to contact me about my comments if you wish. Go Blue! Phil Callihan LS&A 1993, Season Ticket Holder I'll keep you posted if I hear anything back from the athletic department.
