John Navarre- Time to Shine...

Time to answer the critics
Every one of the great Michigan quarterbacks have struggled at some
point in the careers. Every quarterback has faced criticism from
the media and fans. For inspiration John Navarre needs to look
no further than the two most recent Wolverine signal callers to head
to the NFL.
Brian Griese was so unsure of getting playing time his senior year that he almost
didn't return to Michigan. He came back, won a National
Championship and is a starting quarterback in the NFL. Tom Brady
seemed to be nothing more than a speed bump in the way of heir
apparent Drew Henson. Brady worked on his game in the off-season, practiced hard, beat Drew
Henson out and earned a reputation of being a clutch 4th quarter
performer. He's now an NFL
starting quarterback and was Super Bowl MVP leading his team to the
Championship last season.
Where does Navarre fit in?
Wolverine fans have
been spoiled. We have had a run of great quarterbacks. Former
Wolverine signal callers Elvis Grbac, Todd Collins, Scott Dreisbach,
Brian Griese, and Tom Brady have all gone on to play in the NFL after
their collegiate careers.
Where does John
Navarre fit in? This is the year that will define his legacy at
Michigan. He needs to take control
Time to be the Man
Everyone who has
every played football at any level has dreamed of gridiron glory on
the big stage. Unlike most, John Navarre has the opportunity to
make his dreams come true. By every account instead of being
discouraged by last season's collapse he has returned with an even
higher sense of purpose and dedication. This is John Navarre's
time. I think he's going to shock everyone with his performance.
I think that John
Navarre will be the breakout player on this year's Michigan team.
History is on his side.
